Dr Avneet Virk

Principal Dentist & Invisalign Provider

Dr Avneet Virk qualified from India in 2001 and registered with the GDC in 2004. After 4 years of training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, she joined general practice in 2008. She has the Diploma of Membership in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr Virk has had various hospital posts in the past and is currently the principal of the Airedale Dental Practice. She has extensive experience treating cases with Invisalign clear aligners. She has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry with long-term oral health benefits and a biomimetic approach towards all the restorative treatment.

Johanna Chalkley

Practice Manager & Dental Nurse (GDC 111492)

I've' been part of the Airedale Dental practice for over 25 years, and I love the warm, family feel we have with both our patients and team. With 28 years of experience as a dental nurse, I now enjoy my role as Practice Manager, supporting everyone who comes through our doors. Outside of work, I'm a busy mum of two who loves family time, dog walks, holidays and even the odd trip to the gym!

Shauna Danby

Treatment Coordinator & Dental Nurse (GDC: 276380)

I’ve been a dental nurse for over a decade and have spent the last two years working as a Treatment Coordinator. I’m experienced in Invisalign scanning and consultations, and I enjoy helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their dental journey. Outside of work, I love travelling and socialising with family and friends, supporting my family in motocross, and keeping active at the gym.

Joanne Goodaire

Treatment Coordinator & Dental Nurse (GDC 140632)

I’ve been a dental nurse for over 25 years and love being part of the Airedale Dental Practice family. Known as “Chatty Jo,” I enjoy putting patients at ease with a friendly conversation and warm smile. As a Treatment Coordinator, I have the opportunity to spend extra time supporting patients throughout their treatment journeys, which I find incredibly rewarding. Outside of work, I’m a proud grandma of two and spend most weekends away in my caravan, enjoying holidays, relaxing, and making special memories with loved ones.

Amanda Stead

Dental Nurse (GDC 324218)

I am a newly qualified dental nurse. I started in March 2023 as a trainee dental nurse here at Airedale Dental Practice. I qualified from Wakefield College in January 2025. Before becoming a dental nurse, I was a bus driver in York.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, DIY, and spending time with friends and family. I will continue to build my knowledge and skills to help and support the fantastic team at Airedale Dental Practice and the patients we care for.
